Halifax Drive offers residential support for 33 males and females who have a learning disability, who may also be autistic. Our team is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people we support, helping them to have a fun and meaningful life which they have full control of.
We are looking for a Cook to join our team and work three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
What you’ll be doing
Are you passionate about food and creating memorable mealtime experiences? We’re looking for a friendly, dedicated Catering Lead to plan, prepare, cook, and serve delicious meals within our Priory unit. In this role, you’ll ensure every dish meets the highest operational and safety standards while bringing warmth and care to every mealtime.
- Lead the planning and delivery of all food preparation and cooking, keeping dietary and nutritional needs at the heart of what you do.
- Get hands on with preparing, cooking, and serving food and drinks, while supporting and supervising your catering team.
- Maintain high standards by following our 'Assured Safe Catering' policies and statutory regulations.
- Organise stock efficiently, ensuring ingredients are fresh, rotated correctly, and cost effective.
- Create innovative and varied menus that promote healthy eating and cater to the unique needs of our patients or pupils.
- Monitor the unit’s catering budget, ensuring the best value and quality for every meal, in consultation with your line manager.
