Equifind are proud to be partnering with a renowned CIO of an Investment management firm in order to hire a COO for their family office Investments, based in the City of London. This is a critical "right hand" hire, key member of the leadership team and will be responsible for the day to day running and management of the soon to be formed firm.
The family office is based by Bond Street and will be separated from the successful Investment Management firm.
The role
You will be the first hire and will play a critical part in the set up of the firm. You will need to have the desire to roll your sleeves up and get everything off the ground and instinct and gravitas needed in order to push back on the owner/CIO on liquidity, deals and risk matters. The fund itself will look to work on a wide variety of mandates and asset classes from day one, including trading in equities, exotic products, venture capital opportunities and real estate deals (likely to be high-end residential deals). Structuring is a key finance skill required as the portfolio is built.
- Oversee daily operations
- Work with the owner on strategy
- Due diligence on all new investments
- Manage all external advisory relationships - custodians, banks, other hedge funds, property advisors etc.
- Cashflow management, portfolio reporting, portfolio accounting and audit
- Regulatory filings
- Build out the 'Rolls Royce' of policy, framework and governance
- Oversee and recruit key members of staff
- Liquidity management and cashflow/treasury work
- Operational risk
- Acquisition support, risk and restructuring
