Custody Detention Officer - BANK in Coningsby

Job Overview

We are looking for individuals with previous experience in Security, Policing or the Armed Forces to work as Bank Police Custody Detention Officers.

The position offers a career in the criminal justice system supporting the police in custody suites.

Training & Start Date

The next ITC course starts 28th September.

Training will be held at T2 in Birmingham for 2 weeks.

A hotel will be provided.

Applicants must complete national Police Vetting prior to starting.

Pay will be provided for the days attended during the ITC course.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the care and supervision of detainees in custody suites.
• Escort detainees and make recorded observations as per individual care plans.
• Support detainees during their time in custody and liaise with other agencies for their rehabilitation.
• Identify and manage risks of self-harm among detainees.
• Work closely with police officers to secure the custody environment.
• Wages and Benefits
• Minimum 2, 12 hour shifts per month
• Holiday entitlement based on hours worked

Requirements

• Previous experience in the police, security, or armed forces (beneficial).
• Reasonable spoken and written English and basic numeracy.
• Full valid driving licence.
• Lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.
• Valid British passport or settled status.
• All candidates are subject to police vetting checks.
