We're looking for an individual to join our Broiler unit as an Assistant Farm Manager. The role requires a driving licence (a company van will be provided subject to licence checks) and will involve overseeing the day to day operations of the broiler farm, supporting the Farm Manager and ensuring smooth, efficient, and sustainable production.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist and maintain the smooth and efficient running of the Broiler farm.
  • Maintain accurate records of birds, food, supplies and other matters.
  • Ensure adequate supply of essential stock, placing orders as necessary.
  • Implement measures to reduce negative environmental impact, such as waste reduction and recycling.
  • Manage, motivate and train Farm Assistants where applicable.
  • Communicate performance of the flock to the Farm Manager and maintain professional farm appearance.
  • Act as deputy for the Farm Manager when absent, covering all aspects of farm management including radio paging for alarms and emergency call outs.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties given by the Farm Manager, prioritising bird welfare at all times.

Work pattern: 5 days from a 7 day rotation, with a sixth day as required, covering 48 hours a week.
