Community Connectors is a community-based, volunteer-led support service designed to help end homelessness by assisting individuals emotionally and practically in their transition to safe and secure housing. Volunteers help with tasks such as finding and settling into a new home, setting up utilities and bills, sourcing furniture and decorating, and connecting individuals with relevant support providers and networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrange to meet the person you're paired with in a public space, or speak to them on the phone, for about an hour a week for up to six months.
  • Participate in our training and ongoing support.
  • Complete a DBS check ahead of being paired with someone to support.

Requirements:

  • Volunteers aged 18 or over.
  • Completion of a DBS check.

Location: Newham, Havering, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Islington, Camden, Tower Hamlets, City of London, Haringey, Barnet, Enfield, or Waltham Forest (North and East London).
