Our client is seeking a Client Compliance Administrator to join their team in Jersey on a full time, permanent basis. This role will support the Board of Directors and Compliance function by contributing to the effective onboarding and ongoing monitoring of clients. You will assist with the assessment, preparation and maintenance of client due diligence documentation and compliance records, helping to ensure adherence to relevant legislation and internal procedures.

Job Duties

  • Assist with the onboarding of new clients in accordance with internal policies and regulatory obligations
  • Liaise with clients and colleagues to gather customer due diligence (CDD) for prospective clients
  • Review CDD for compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards
  • Complete risk assessment forms during the client take on process and at trigger events
  • Prepare CDD packs and compliance reports for Board approval as required
  • Evaluate both simple and complex CDD files to identify AML risks and escalates where appropriate
  • Conduct sanctions screening and adverse media checks, reviewing results and escalating matches as needed
  • Perform CDD and client profile reviews for existing clients in line with policy
  • Update and monitor centralised compliance databases and registers
  • Assist in ensuring records and files are up to date and outstanding issues are resolved
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with procedures, legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of AML procedures relevant to the role

Job Requirements

  • JFSC Table A or B qualification
  • Relevant experience and qualifications suitable for MLRO, MLCO or CO responsibilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Team oriented with a professional and cooperative approach
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities
  • Discreet and courteous, with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately
