Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with the client's evening routine.
  • Assisting with removing and applying continence pads.
  • Assisting the client to prepare prescribed medication in a pot and measuring cough meds (no administration required).
  • Assisting to apply cream on legs.
  • Assisting to change from day clothes into nightwear.
  • Selecting and laying out clothes for the following day.
  • Assisting to prepare bed time drink.
  • Occasionally assisting with household tasks such as loading/unloading dishwasher and washing machine.

Qualifications:

  • Having a caring, proactive and motivated attitude with a passion for supporting others.
  • Positive attitude and good work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience desirable but not essential.
  • Dog friendly, as there is a young, very friendly Border Terrier in the house.
  • Ability to commit to part or all of the required hours between 7 pm and no later than 9 pm.

Hours & Pay:

  • This is a part-time position for 7 hours per week, typically 1 hour per day Mon-Sun (bed call).
  • The client is open to applicants who can commit to part or all of these hours but the hours should take place between 7 pm and no later than 9 pm.
  • Hourly rate of £12.71 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme.
