An exciting opportunity has arisen for a personal assistant to provide support to a young adult with Autism and Severe Learning Disabilities within the local community. We are looking for a motivated, fun, fit and healthy individual with a background and understanding in special education needs. Working with the client will require patience and calmness.

The main duties will involve supporting the client to access the local community for social and leisure activities. The client has no safety awareness so will need to be kept safe at all times. He loves being outdoors, swimming and cafe visits.

Previous experience is essential along with a positive attitude and good work ethic. A full clean driving licence is essential with mileage to be paid by the employer. This is a part time position for 5 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.50 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme. This post requires a full DBS check.
