Cherry Tree Day Nursery is currently looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and reliable individual to complete their Level 2 or 3 Childcare Apprenticeship. The nursery has a garden area and 5 rooms that are free flow, caring for children from birth to 5 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up the rooms in the morning, planning and preparing the day's activities, and assisting in creating a stimulating environment.
  • Tidying away at the end of every day and overseeing general housekeeping duties.
  • Undertaking all aspects of personal care, including nappy changing, toileting, and assisting with feeding.
  • Attending monthly staff meetings and undertaking ongoing training.
  • Learning the role of a practitioner with guidance and being allocated a small key group of children once ready.
  • Ensuring nursery and safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times, and that children are well cared for, nurtured, and kept safe.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative person to join our team. You will need to show a willingness to learn and be able to work alongside our SENCO and other colleagues.

Hours: Cherry Tree Day Nursery is open from 7:30am until 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work between 37.5 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Childcare Qualification is required when applying or a good amount of experience within a similar role.
  • Ideally, you will have GCSE Grades A-C/4-9 in English Language and Maths, or equivalent.
  • To be able to obtain a clear DBS.
