Key Responsibilities

  • Material & Equipment Logistics
  • Coordinate scheduling, delivery, and tracking of materials and equipment for all CCS work phases.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely availability of critical components.
  • Oversee unloading, storage, and distribution processes at laydown areas and site compounds.
  • Site & Personnel Movement
  • Plan and manage workforce logistics aligned with labour headcount and phasing forecasts.
  • Coordinate transport arrangements, site access, induction scheduling, PPE allocation, and movement of specialist crews.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and site security procedures.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain logistics registers, delivery records, and tracking documentation.
  • Support the preparation of daily/weekly logistics reports and interface with planning, commercial, and procurement teams.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy for audit trails, progress reporting, and contractual compliance.
  • Supply Chain & Interface
  • Work closely with supply chain partners, subcontractors, and internal departments to confirm delivery schedules and resolve issues.
  • Support onboarding, invoicing, and coordination processes referenced in internal CCS communications.
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure logistics activities support environmental, safety, and carbon management best practices.
  • Contribute to site readiness, pre-start processes, and induction requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Essential: Experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management within construction, utilities, or infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, Work at Height Regulations, and transport legislation.
  • Ability to manage multiple compliance streams across a multi-site operation.
  • Strong organisational, data management, and communication skills.
  • Desirable: CPC qualification or transport management qualification.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH qualification or equivalent H&S background.
  • Experience with digital inspection, asset management, or fleet systems.
  • Experience supporting audits (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001).
