Key Responsibilities
- Material & Equipment Logistics
- Coordinate scheduling, delivery, and tracking of materials and equipment for all CCS work phases.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely availability of critical components.
- Oversee unloading, storage, and distribution processes at laydown areas and site compounds.
- Site & Personnel Movement
- Plan and manage workforce logistics aligned with labour headcount and phasing forecasts.
- Coordinate transport arrangements, site access, induction scheduling, PPE allocation, and movement of specialist crews.
- Ensure compliance with safety and site security procedures.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain logistics registers, delivery records, and tracking documentation.
- Support the preparation of daily/weekly logistics reports and interface with planning, commercial, and procurement teams.
- Ensure documentation accuracy for audit trails, progress reporting, and contractual compliance.
- Supply Chain & Interface
- Work closely with supply chain partners, subcontractors, and internal departments to confirm delivery schedules and resolve issues.
- Support onboarding, invoicing, and coordination processes referenced in internal CCS communications.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure logistics activities support environmental, safety, and carbon management best practices.
- Contribute to site readiness, pre-start processes, and induction requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Essential: Experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management within construction, utilities, or infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, Work at Height Regulations, and transport legislation.
- Ability to manage multiple compliance streams across a multi-site operation.
- Strong organisational, data management, and communication skills.
- Desirable: CPC qualification or transport management qualification.
- NEBOSH/IOSH qualification or equivalent H&S background.
- Experience with digital inspection, asset management, or fleet systems.
- Experience supporting audits (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001).
