Our client is a well-established automotive accident repair centre in Tewkesbury seeking a qualified Vehicle Damage Assessor.

- Standard 40 hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Duties
- Prepare manual and computerised estimates efficiently, ensuring compliance with manufacturer, insurer, and customer specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of all estimates, flagging and addressing work lacking prior authorised approval.
- Seek authorisation before starting any work not automatically approved, and manage subsequent communication.
- Lay out with bodyshop personnel to ensure full understanding of the work scope as per estimates.
- Manage cases where vehicles are deemed total losses, liaising with insurers and bodyshop teams accordingly.
- Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety policies relevant to the role and environment.
- Uphold high standards of customer care and satisfaction through accurate and timely assessments.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in vehicle estimating, with Audatex qualification or training highly desirable.
- Strong background in automotive accident repair with transferable skills considered.
- ATA accreditation or manufacturer approved training is advantageous but not essential.
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
