Responsibilities
- Prevent and detect offences against staff, visitors and contractors, and safeguard the company's property, merchandise, monies and assets.
- Patrol the store and keep a watchful eye for potential offences.
- Liaise with employees, the public, and police on day to day security matters.
- Meet with other investigative agencies and conduct inquiries on their behalf if needed.
- Keep up to date with any legislation that may affect the role.
Shift Pattern
- 4 on/4 off shift pattern that may include working at other company premises.
- Work includes weekends, night work, Bank Holidays and Public Holidays as normal days of work.
- Extra hours and/or days of work may be required or changed by the department, with adequate notice (typically 48 hours).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Passionate about security and safety, and curious about developing yourself.
- Proven experience providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships within a team.
- Ability to work in a highly detail focused environment and deliver exceptional performance.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, proficiency in conflict management and resolution techniques.
- Mental resilience to occupational hazards such as abusive or threatening behaviour, confrontation and pressure.
- High standard of personal appearance with health and fitness levels that enable carrying out the full duties of the position, including dealing with confrontational situations, standing or patrolling for long periods of time.
- Possess or be willing to obtain an SIA Door Supervisor licence.
