Join a proactive, well-respected, and forward-thinking Pharmacy Oncology Team as a specialist Paediatric Oncology Pharmacist delivering high-quality patient care and service to patients at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist with clinical and managerial experience in Paediatric Oncology, Haematology, and Oncology. The successful candidate will work independently, manage workload, and support staff.
Main duties of the job
- Using specialist knowledge to provide support for the Paediatric Oncology Service
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to implement changes and develop new procedures and services
- Pre-assessing patients, reviewing test results and ensuring safety before treatment
- Training and mentoring pharmacists and other health professionals

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Vocational Masters degree in Pharmacy
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Post graduate diploma or MSc in clinical pharmacy or equivalent
- 1 year of pre-registration training
- Attendance at relevant study days/courses in Oncology / Haematology
- Membership of Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacy Group
- Carry BOPA SACT passport
- Completed NMP course
- Good Clinical Practice in Clinical Trials
Experience / Knowledge
- At least 3 years post-registration experience in hospital pharmacy
- Experience delivering a high-quality clinical pharmacy service in Oncology / Haematology or Paediatrics
- Experience managing and coordinating staff
- Experience writing SOPs
- Experience training staff
- Good clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge for effective and cost-effective use of medicines
- Evidence of service development and improvement
- Knowledge of current NHS changes, including productivity, efficiency, and patient safety
Skills
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management
