We are seeking a friendly, professional and organised individual to join our team as a Casual Receptionist. As one of the first points of contact for visitors, parents, pupils and staff, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the Sports Centre. This role offers flexible, casual working hours and would suit someone with previous customer service, reception or administrative experience who enjoys working with people and can remain calm and professional in a busy environment.

Your hours will vary according to the needs of the school, typically, the hours can be 3, 7-hour shifts between the times of 07:00 and 22:00. The shift patterns will include a mixture of mornings, evenings and weekends.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a positive approach to customer service and the ability to manage a variety of tasks efficiently and accurately. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming and assisting visitors, parents, pupils and staff.
  • Managing incoming telephone calls and enquiries.
  • Supporting general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry and correspondence.
  • Assisting with room bookings and other reception-related administration.

To excel in this role, you will be approachable, reliable and adaptable, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. You will be confident using Microsoft Office applications and able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
