Overview of the Shift Manager role focusing on delivering consistent results and creating a best place to shop and work. You will be recruited as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store.

Key responsibilities

  • Maximise profit: Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for your customers. Play an active role in your store to "sell a £1 & save a £1" to help drive sales. Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.
  • Engage, develop & retain great people: Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store. Support team engagement in your store. Create an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best. Take a proactive approach to personal development and share your knowledge to support up-skilling the team.
  • Doing the right processes and doing them right: Complete any actions set for you by your line manager on the back of the daily floor walk focusing on what the customer sees. Maintain a positive approach to service in-store and at the doorstep. Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies & processes. Contribute to providing the best digital service through implementing all "One Best Way" processes.
