The Primary Care team is looking to recruit an Administrative Officer to join its central business support team, providing administrative support to the wider Primary Care team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide flexible and proactive administrative support, meeting the needs of the service.
  • Arrange and support routine and ad hoc meetings, take formal minutes and action notes.
  • Handle enquiries via email, telephone and face to face contact.
  • Process Primary Care contractor claims and invoices within agreed timelines.
  • Manage stock ordering, accurate data entry, and maintenance of spreadsheets and clinical systems.
  • Support report production, data extraction, and training event organisation.
  • Perform general office duties including filing, photocopying, and record management.
  • Summarise patient notes as trained.
  • Operate in line with established policies and procedures.

Person Specification

Experience - Essential

  • Experience working in an administrative or office environment.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Confidence using email and searching the internet.

Experience - Desirable

  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Knowledge - Essential

  • Level 3 qualification (e.g., A levels, AS levels, NVQ3) or equivalent demonstrable experience in administrative or office skills.

Qualifications and Knowledge - Desirable

  • Knowledge of medical/healthcare terminology.

Language Skills - Desirable

  • Welsh speaker (Level 1).
