What you'll be doing:

  • You'll play a key role in supporting the maintenance and ongoing development of Brit's capital modelling capability, helping to ensure the model remains robust, fit for purpose and delivers high quality outputs.
  • You'll take ownership of the day to day operation of the capital model, working closely with analysts and actuaries to produce core outputs including regulatory capital requirements and submissions.
  • You'll work with teams across Risk, Actuarial, Finance and Underwriting, building strong relationships and developing a clear understanding of the wider business.
  • You'll support the production of materials and communicate model outputs to senior stakeholders, ensuring complex results are translated into clear and meaningful insight that supports decision making.
  • In this role, you'll contribute to the enhancement and evolution of the internal model, supporting improvements to methodology, processes and tools.
  • You'll apply strong analytical thinking to parameterisation and calibration, while ensuring outputs are accurate, well understood and consistent with expectations.
  • Alongside this, you'll embed robust controls and governance practices, ensuring compliance with internal model policies and regulatory requirements.
  • You'll also support a range of capital-related activities, including regulatory submissions, rating agency capital calculations and scenario testing and contributing to the wider Risk Management Framework.
  • As part of this, you'll help identify opportunities for continuous improvement, bringing ideas that enhance efficiency and add value, while contributing to both business as usual delivery and wider strategic initiatives.
