An established major infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its East Anglia team, supporting the successful commercial delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS with a strong background in infrastructure and main contracting environments to take ownership of key projects while supporting junior team members and working closely with operational delivery teams.

You will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring contractual compliance, financial performance, and effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading commercial activities across live infrastructure projects
  • Managing procurement processes, subcontract packages, and tender evaluations
  • Preparing, reviewing, and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts
  • Maximising project cash flow through accurate forecasting and timely invoicing
  • Monitoring project costs, resources, and commercial performance against targets
  • Managing compensation events, variations, risks, and opportunities
  • Ensuring compliance with NEC contracts and maintaining robust commercial records
  • Supporting sustainability and carbon reduction objectives
  • Building strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Mentoring and supporting junior commercial team members

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor environment
  • Strong all-round commercial management experience across infrastructure projects
  • Excellent working knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial reporting
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operational and delivery teams
  • A proactive approach with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
