University Arms is a 192-bed design led Hotel situated in the heart of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Overlooking Parker's Piece is the Hotel's quintessentially British Restaurant and Bar Parker's Tavern, Library Lounge, and beautiful 272 square metre wood panelled Ballroom. Opened in 1834 as a Coaching Inn, University Arms is Cambridge's oldest Hotel. It is now Cambridge's 'go to' destination, alluring visitors with the promise of a sense of modern luxury.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING

As Reception Supervisor, you will be totally guest-focused by consistently delivering excellent service with an informed, friendly, and effective approach. You will ensure the smooth running of the Reception Desk, whilst achieving maximum revenue and guest satisfaction.

THE DUTIES

  • Lead and inspire the reception team to deliver outstanding service at every guest interaction.
  • Greet, assist, and manage guest arrivals, departures, and special requests with warmth and professionalism.
  • Take ownership of guest feedback, resolving issues quickly and effectively to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Oversee daily front desk operations, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with other departments - housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance to ensure guest needs are met promptly.
  • Maintain a polished, welcoming reception area and ensure all operational standards are met.
  • Monitor and improve processes to enhance efficiency, service quality, and the overall guest experience.
