The Laboratory Technician – Labstock is responsible for executing day‑to‑day lab operations and supporting objectives at customer facilities, following defined procedures. The role focuses on ensuring smooth laboratory workflow, managing chemicals, materials, and inventory, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily laboratory operations through effective material and stock management.
  • Manage inventory and ensure availability of chemicals and consumables.
  • Handle deliveries, including temperature‑sensitive materials.
  • Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Support safe waste management processes.
  • Maintain clean, organized lab and storage areas.
  • Collaborate with lab teams to understand and respond to operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a laboratory or similar environment.
  • Basic knowledge of chemical handling or inventory systems (preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer‑service mindset.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools.
  • A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to work.

Nice to have

  • A scientific degree or relevant qualifications.
  • Experience working with laboratory inventory systems or stock management.
