We are on the hunt for Manufacturing Operators for our CARTERS Frame and Truss Manufacturing plant in Cambridge for the AM to PM shift. In this physical role you will fabricate frames and trusses with nail guns, meeting precise measurements and specifications from technical drawings for our valued building trade customers, whilst adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

About you

  • Experience in timber, carpentry, construction, manufacturing, or a production/assembly environment
  • Ability to read and interpret building technical drawings and specifications
  • Prior experience in frame and truss manufacturing is advantageous
  • Confident use of hand tools, power tools, nail guns, and production machinery - safely and efficiently
  • Experience feeding materials into machines or removing finished products, and keeping pace with continuous operations
  • Strong safety awareness and practical judgment around equipment and working area
  • Physical fitness and the stamina to maintain a steady, productive work level throughout the shift
  • Comfortable with basic computer operations
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn

  • Monday to Thursday, 12 hour shifts, 5am-5pm with additional Fridays based on demand
  • Stability and a focus on work life balance, this role offers permanent full-time employment with guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week
