We are looking for individuals with a strong background in competitive programming to support Huawei's contest talent initiative. This is a part-time role focused on helping us better understand and evaluate contest talents across global competition communities. The emphasis is on leveraging real competition experience (e.g., ICPC, IOI) to provide practical input, as well as supporting talent recommendation and attraction. The role is suitable for experienced ICPC participants, coaches, or individuals actively involved in competitive programming communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Help review and interpret contest talent profiles and achievements.
- Provide input on talent strength based on competition experience and performance signals.
- Support identification, recommendation, and attraction of promising contest talents across ICPC, IOI, Codeforces, Kaggle, etc.
- Share insights on competition trends and talent signals within the community.
- Support internal understanding of how contest talents can be evaluated.
- Help increase awareness of Huawei's contest talent initiative within relevant communities (informal/community-level engagement).
Person Specification
Required
- Strong competitive programming background (ICPC participation, coaching, or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with competitive programming platforms (e.g., Codeforces, AtCoder, etc.).
- Ability to assess contest talent based on real competition experience.
- Good understanding of characteristics of strong contest talents.
- Comfortable discussing technical talent in an informal and collaborative English environment.
