Aramark UK is currently recruiting a Chef in the Education sector to join our team at the University of Westminster, NW1 5LS. Job Responsibilities:
- Cooking and preparing food ready for grab & go & lunch service, ensuring minimal wastage.
- Supporting functions/hospitality events.
- Working collaboratively as part of a team of chefs and acting as a trainer/coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
- Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals.
- Assisting with deliveries and stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.
- Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and servers.
- Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence.
- Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
Key Requirements:
- Previous catering experience required
- Excellent team player
- Excellent communication abilities
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures
