The Cable Harness Operator is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting electrical cable harnesses and wiring looms to meet customer specifications and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Assemble cable harnesses, wiring looms, and related components according to engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Cut, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Label, bundle, and route cables neatly in line with assembly and quality standards.
- Carry out visual inspections and electrical continuity testing to verify workmanship and functionality.
- Identify and report any non‑conformances or quality issues to the Team Leader or Quality department.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles.
- Ensure all work meets health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.
About you:
- Previous experience in electrical assembly, cable harness, or wiring loom manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Skilled in crimping, soldering, and using standard hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
- Experience with IPC620 certification or equivalent.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 or aerospace/automotive manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
