We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced administrator to join the Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Service as a Business Support Officer. This is a key role within Children’s Services, supporting statutory safeguarding processes to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
The post will primarily be responsible for the administrative support to the service including:
- Convening of Child Protection Conferences and Child in Care Reviews
- Mailbox management
- Data entry and general administrative support, often involving sensitive and confidential information
Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will manage your workload effectively and ensure that all processes are completed within required timescales. This role offers an agile working style, with a mixture of home and office-based working.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely completion of service processes in line with statutory requirements
- Handle highly sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Support the coordination and administration of meetings and related processes
- Maintain and update information across key systems
- Liaise with colleagues, partners, and agencies to support service delivery
We are looking for someone who has strong administrative experience, can work with accuracy and attention to detail under pressure, is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities, demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is confident using a range of IT systems and producing written documentation to a high standard. A relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent) is desirable, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Workplace Attendance: Working in the office 3+ days a week (pro-rata) or onsite full time.
