Our client is a fast paced, scaling, highly acquisitive oil and gas operator looking for ambitious, driven, inquisitive analysts to join their team. We will consider candidates with experience ranging from 1 to 5 years with exceptional financial modelling skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Detailed financial modelling of potential acquisition and divestment targets and their impact on the base portfolio, including scenario analysis to assess value of risks and opportunities
  • Prepare detailed returns analysis and other pro-forma impacts of potential acquisitions
  • Review and analyse financial information on potential targets and incorporate findings into valuation models
  • Maintain evaluation models and ensure they are accurate and auditable, providing required deliverables
  • Prepare detailed analysis communicating change and results, prepare and coordinate presentations - Executive summaries, corporate presentations, Board materials
  • Supporting other team members with project management of due diligence process
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders

Background and Experience

  • Degree or Masters in Finance, Management, Economics, Engineering
  • Relevant experience from the Corporate Finance Sector or M&A (we will consider candidates with between 1-5 years' experience)
  • You may be in banking, investment house, boutique advisory, professional services or in house
  • Very strong data analysis and modelling skills essential
  • Very strong numerical and analytical ability, aptitude to think strategically
  • Ability to distil information into a structured and concise message
  • Comfortable functioning both independently and as part of a team, meeting stringent deadlines and work quality standards
  • Highly focused in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
