Legal Southwest are delighted to be assisting a well-established and growing law firm in their search for a Private Client Paralegal to join their busy and expanding team in Burnham on Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous Private Client experience, or a Law Graduate with a genuine interest in developing a career within this area of law, to join a supportive and forward-thinking practice.
The Role
- Working closely with experienced fee earners, you will play an important role in supporting the Private Client department and ensuring the delivery of a high standard of client service.
- Your duties will include:
- Preparing and reviewing legal documentation
- Liaising with clients, third parties and external organisations
- Managing and maintaining case files
- Updating client records and case management systems
- Providing general administrative support and diary management
- Acting as a first point of contact for clients
- Supporting senior fee earners with a varied caseload
- Assisting with the continued growth and development of the department
This position offers genuine opportunities for progression, with the successful candidate encouraged to develop their fee earning skills and take on increasing responsibility over time.
About You
- Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience within a Private Client team, ideally involving Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney; or
- A Law Degree and a genuine desire to pursue a career in Private Client law
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Experience using case management systems (preferred but not essential)
- The ability to work from dictation
- A proactive and professional approach to work
