Maxwell Swim Club, based in Buckinghamshire, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Coach to take responsibility for our Buckingham programme.
About Maxwell Swim Club
As ONB (Oxfordshire North Bucks) County Champions for the last 3 seasons, Maxwell is one of the leading swimming clubs in the South East Region. We have approximately 220 swimmers training across our two sites in Aylesbury and Buckingham, with a pathway starting at our academy and extending all the way to a high level performance squad. Success is in our nature with athletes regularly swimming at County, Regional, National, International and Paralympic levels. Although results matter, we're equally proud of our culture. Maxwell is built on a love of swimming, meaning that our nurturing, supporting environment develops athletes who continue to train and compete long after leaving the club. When it comes to coaching, we operate under a model of supportive autonomy. Our coaches are given the opportunity to shape their training squads and programmes as they see fit, alongside a Head Coach and Executive Board who oversee the overall vision of the club.
The role
Reporting to Maxwell Swim Club's Head Coach, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring that our 75 athletes, including Regional and County medallists, are well supported, well stretched, and progressing. This is a hands on coaching role that also includes leadership responsibility for the Buckingham coaching team, who are well versed in how Maxwell operates. They'll offer you the support you need but, ultimately, we need someone to get stuck in and ensure that our squads reach their potential.
