Mocketts Wood Surgery is a GP Surgery in Broadstairs, looking after 9400 patients, and are looking for a part time receptionist. The role is for 25 hours a week over 5 days, and we are looking for a reliable, well-organised, professional, enthusiastic, flexible, friendly individual to join our fantastic team, with a sound customer service and clerical background.
About us: The Surgery is open Monday to Friday 08:30 and Wednesdays evenings until 20:00. Flexibility to cover the evening shift would be necessary if required. A regular shift pattern will be set, but flexibility is required to cover any staff absences.
Responsibilities: You will work within a supportive team in a busy environment, performing a wide range of receptionist and administrative duties. This includes:
- Answering telephones
- Booking appointments
- Providing assistance to patient queries
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Ensuring high standards of service delivery and accuracy at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a GP Practice or Primary Care
- Excellent communication skills, both telephone and face to face etiquette, with empathy and active listening
- IT proficiency and accuracy; experience with EMIS or EMIS Web system is beneficial
- Professional approach and appearance at all times
- Team player, initiative, and willingness to acquire new skills and knowledge
- Reliability and flexibility to cover shift variations and staff absences
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
