Main duties of the job

As a Recovery Worker you will be providing support and advice to people who are experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse. On top of providing support around alcohol & substance use, this role involves outreaching With You clients to support with housing related issues such as debt management and tenancy sustainment. You will be working within a highly skilled and knowledgeable multi-disciplinary team who will support you in your development and your ability to deliver the best care you can to our clients.

Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You will work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery. This is an integral role for With You - as a frontline worker, you will deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, delivery of interventions and key work responsibilities.

We are looking for a Recovery Worker working 37.5 hours per week between 09:00 and 17:00. The position is fixed term until 31/03/2029. Salary: £26,250 per annum, rising each year on an incremental scale to £30,900 per annum.

Person Specification

  • Positive and motivated, able to communicate with a wide range of people.
  • Organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Some experience of working in a health, social care, or related setting.
  • Experience of delivering services in a community setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of delivering evidence based interventions.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Resilient under pressure and able to prioritise work.
  • Able to be flexible with working hours on occasion and support other With You locations when needed.
  • UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Ideally, some experience of working or volunteering with people who misuse substances; lived experience is welcomed.
  • Passionate about helping people recover with an inspiring and engaging approach.
