About the Role
The Housekeeping Assistant works as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards in the care home, following standard operating procedures to uphold hotel service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with instructions.
- Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and using appropriate cleaning materials.
- Ensuring rooms and common areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
- Treating residents with dignity, respect and safeguarding their personal space and belongings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
- Experience of cleaning and laundry in a public or care setting.
- Demonstrated compassion and commitment to high quality housekeeping services for residents.
- Ability to adapt to a range of responsibilities on short notice.
