As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll support the Maintenance Manager in carrying out repairs, upkeep, and safety checks throughout the hotel. The role requires a practical, reliable, detail-oriented individual with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic. This part-time position is 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine maintenance and repairs, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and decorating tasks
  • Carry out daily checks on lighting, heating, air conditioning, and safety systems
  • Support general upkeep of hotel interiors and exteriors
  • Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and staff reports of issues
  • Help maintain a tidy, safe, and well-organised maintenance storage area
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with health and safety standards
  • Assist with setting up or moving furniture, equipment, or deliveries as needed
  • Work with external contractors when on site and ensure proper support and supervision
