Overview
The pay for this role is £30,518 (pro rata for part time colleagues). We're welcoming new colleagues under a refreshed framework of pay, terms, and conditions. All new starters begin at the bottom of the pay band. While the starting salary is fixed, the role offers growth, meaningful contribution, and the chance to be part of a forward thinking team. The role is for a Front of House Host at the Pierview Kitchen Bournemouth and Boscombe, on the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole seafront.
What You'll Do
- Welcome guests and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Take and prepare orders - from fresh coffee to seaside treats.
- Operate tills and handle payments accurately.
- Keep cafés clean and safe, following food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Support opening/closing routines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Place supplier orders to replenish stock.
- Manage staffing levels in the absence of the Catering supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality or catering.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexible and reliable, with availability to work weekends and bank holidays.
- Previous experience in supervising staff is preferred.
- Confidence in restocking counters and displays in line with stock rotation and management requirements, ensuring items are well presented and readily available for customers.

- NVQ level in Hospitality or Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Right to work in the UK (valid ID & National Insurance number).
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather.
- Ability to lift and carry items safely.
