We are seeking a Band 7-8a Clinical Psychologist to join our well established Intellectual Disabilities CAMHS team in Dorset. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly skilled, compassionate multidisciplinary team where staff wellbeing, psychological safety and reflective practice are genuinely prioritised.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a specialist assessment, formulation and intervention for children and young people with intellectual disabilities and co occurring mental health needs.
- Work with complex and high needs presentations within a trauma informed, neurodiversity affirming framework.
- Provide clinical leadership, consultation and supervision within the MDT.
- Employ strong multi agency working with families, education and social care.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement.
- Provide psychological advice, consultation, training and supervision to non psychological colleagues; deliver direct psychological assessments and interventions; offer clinical support for pilot projects and clinical developments across the service; liaise closely with other Clinical Psychologists and senior staff to support implementation of agreed system changes and service developments.
Qualifications
- Registered Clinical Psychologist with significant experience in CAMHS, intellectual disabilities or related services, and a passion for ethical work with children and families.
