The Role

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will assist in leading and managing the F&B department, including the team and ensuring that we exceed guest expectations while operating within the budget, turning over a profit in your department. You'll be focused on the customer dining experience and full of new ideas to take our offering to the next level.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all restaurants and bars, including staffing, inventory management and service standards, as set out by your Line Manager.
  • Assist your Line Manager with recruiting, training and supervising a skilled team of restaurant and bar staff.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure a high level of service is always delivered within the F&B departments and across the hotel.
  • Collaborate with the Exec Head Chef and bartenders to create innovative and appealing menus, as part of a team.
  • Ensure that you are part of delivering our budgets and financial forecasts for the F&B department.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, F&B Manager or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage trends, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Cellar Management Skills - be able to manage and maintain hotel standards.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
