Responsibilities

  • As part of the leadership team, you will work a rolling rota, covering four nights out of seven, including weekend work.
  • You will be solely responsible for the store during the night shift, overseeing all operations with the store open 24 hours.
  • You will manage the night team to keep the store running efficiently and maintain the highest shop floor standards across all departments.
  • Drive strategy into action: Plan and execute all trading activity on the shopfloor during the night shift, ensuring deliveries are timed, waste and returns are managed correctly, and stock replenishment limits damage.
  • Lead with impact: Coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shop floor standards and promote a culture of selling with personality, heart and pride.
  • Execution focused: Ensure the shop floor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to the day team, with promotions, foyer and hot spots fit for trade.
  • Talent development: Listen with empathy, drive resilience, encourage ownership and focus, and support the development of the team, creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted and motivated.

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
  • Ability to make independent decisions with a hands‑on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
  • Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
  • Strong customer‑service focus.
  • Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
