Priory Hospital Kemple View is looking to recruit a registered practitioner psychologist to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours. Located in Blackburn, Lancashire, Priory Hospital Kemple View is a 90-bedded hospital, offering level 2 rehabilitation, and secure services, for adult males. We can support people with a mental health condition and/or a personality disorder.
What you’ll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- Receives and responds promptly to referrals undertaking assessments to determine and plan an effective therapy programme for assigned clients using appropriate and relevant treatments, activities and interventions.
- Facilitates individual and group therapy sessions within the given field of therapy ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the client, and are consistent with the provisions detailed in the client's therapy plan.
- Manages an assigned caseload within agreed timescales ensuring regular interaction and communication with clients, professional colleagues and clinical staff.
What you’ll bring to the role

Applicants must be Practitioner Psychologists registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) - this is a mandatory requirement - and Chartership with the British Psychological Society (BPS) is preferred. This role requires a minimum of a relevant Master’s degree, along with a recognised postgraduate qualification and accreditation from the appropriate professional body (BABCP, BCP, BPS or equivalent). Candidates must also demonstrate prior experience and practical exposure within their chosen field of therapy, ensuring they possess the necessary clinical competence and applied knowledge to deliver high quality therapeutic practice.
