Brookmill Medical Centre has a great opportunity for an experienced medical receptionist to join the administration team. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to build their General Practice experience, working as part of a successful practice.

Main duties of the role:

  • Make appointments
  • Deal with prescription requests
  • Answer telephones
  • Assist patients with their queries
  • Routine administrative duties

Skills required:

  • Excellent telephone, communication and IT skills
  • Ability to work in a pressurised and fast-paced environment
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a well-established team
  • Ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment
  • Flexibility to cover sickness/holidays as and when needed

Shift pattern:

  • Monday 12:00pm - 6:30pm
  • Tuesday 1:00pm - 5:30pm
  • Friday 8:30am - 6:30pm

Experience:

  • Experience of working in a GP surgery preferred but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidates
  • Working in a health care setting
  • Working at pace

Qualifications:

  • GCSE A-C or equivalent in Maths and English

About us:

We are a large, friendly training practice of around 8700 patients. Our ideal candidate would be team orientated, resilient and flexible with good customer service and interpersonal skills.

Interview date: Interviews will provisionally be Wednesday 6th May.
