Join OneAdvanced. We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior People Advisor to join our People team, supporting leaders across our R&D and wider business functions. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive People team, where you'll play a key role in strengthening manager capability, improving people practices, and supporting a broad range of employee relations matters.
You'll work closely with business leaders to provide practical advice across performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters, absence management, consultations, and organisational change activity.
What You Will Do
- Managing a varied employee relations caseload across performance, disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, flexible working, and wellbeing matters
- Coaching and supporting managers through people processes and employment law considerations
- Supporting organisational change activity
- Building manager capability through pragmatic guidance and challenge where appropriate
- Ensuring decisions are evidence-based, appropriately documented, and aligned to policy and best practice
- Partnering with People Business Partners and Centres of Excellence across the wider People function
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to policy development and organisational design projects
What You Will Have
We're looking for someone who combines strong employment law knowledge with excellent stakeholder management and coaching capability. You'll ideally bring:
- Experience in a People Advisor or Senior People Advisor role
- Strong employee relations experience including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, and sickness absence cases
- Experience supporting managers in a fast‑paced, matrixed organisation
- Confidence coaching and influencing stakeholders at different levels
- Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience working alongside occupational health providers and supporting complex absence cases
- Ability to balance competing priorities and manage a varied workload independently
- A proactive and curious approach, with the confidence to challenge constructively and ask the right questions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, documentation, and evidence‑based decision making
Experience within technology, professional services, legal, or other fast‑paced commercial environments would be advantageous.
