Key responsibilities
- Assist teachers with preparation of resources and equipment for lesson delivery on a daily basis
- Assist in lessons as required during practical sessions
- Develop apparatus and equipment for use in practical sessions and provide technical advice and assistance to teaching staff as required regarding resources for practical work and demonstrations
- Carry out practical demonstrations in the classroom as required
- Construct and modify apparatus as required, at the request of teachers in the faculty
Qualifications and Skills
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (minimum grade 4 or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of health and safety including COSHH
- Experience of working within a Science department
- Working knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and codes of practice
Pay range
NJC 12 - 17: £25,152.73 - £27,284.70 (FTE: £28,598 - £31,022)
