About the role
This role will provide expatriate tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of clients with an international presence or focus. UK employment tax experience or knowledge would be helpful but is not essential. The primary responsibility is to manage all matters related to a portfolio of existing clients, assisting with the development of growth targets and ensuring continued business expansion. You will also provide support to senior staff in client work and group management. Success requires proactive workload management, regular communication with directors or partners, and the identification of opportunities to generate new work. Responsibilities
- Manage expatriate tax compliance for clients, including annual tax returns for small clients and those with many assignees.
- Provide expatriate tax advisory services.
- Maintain and develop a large and varied client portfolio.
- Communicate regularly with client senior management and key stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to sell new services to existing clients.
- Assist senior members of staff with client work and group management.
- Help develop and achieve business growth targets.
Qualifications
- Significant experience and understanding of expatriate tax compliance.
- Knowledge of recent key updates in Expatriate Tax, such as the Statutory Residence Test, Short-Term Business Visitors, and non-resident directors.
- Expatriate tax advisory experience.
- Ability to manage a large and varied client portfolio.
- Demonstrable staff management experience.
- Experience actively seeking opportunities to sell new services to existing clients.
- Experience dealing with client senior management and key stakeholders.
- Degree level education and/or CTA and/or ACA qualification or equivalent experience.
