Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join us at our Equipment Management operation in Erith, supporting our customer, Asda. This is a fast paced, busy operation handling all returned products and equipment from their stores, it's all about recycling and reuse!
As a Shift Manager, you will manage the daily operations and associated workforce while adhering to all company and legal requirements. This is a full time, permanent position, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06:00 till 18:00.

- We're looking to offer a salary of up to £38,000.00 per annum and 22 days annual leave (inclusive bank holidays).

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Oversee the running of the recycling operation.
- Ensure that the site is utilising resource effectively, monitoring headcount, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Promote and develop a health and safety culture on site in line with the company's policies.
- Get involved with performance management, KPI monitoring and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A warehouse operational management background.
- An excellent understanding of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Experience of leading teams, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring, and creating development plans.
- The ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal capacity.
