Mount Charles Group is recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join our team at Newbridge Integrated College, Banbridge.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 15 hours per week, 11:30am - 2:30pm (term time)

The Role:
- Assist in the preparation, service and sale of all food and beverages for the unit
- Prepare service counter (including placing food and beverages in appropriate containers and ensuring correct utensils are available)
- Provide the highest level of customer service in a consistent approach to anyone who uses the facility
- Work as part of the team to ensure service is delivered on time and to a consistently high standard
- Carry out all cleaning duties as instructed by the line manager or per unit cleaning rota
- Keep kitchen and service areas clean and tidy and assist with waste removal
- Clear and wash dishes in the dining area as required
- Be responsible for cash handling duties under your control
- Assist with moving and setting up of furniture for catering purposes in designated areas
- Report defective equipment, utensils, work and floor surfaces or any other health and safety issues
The Person:
- Make customers aware of current offers and upsell additional products where possible
- Report all customer suggestions, comments or complaints to the line manager
- Serve customers in a quick and efficient manner
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, clothing and footwear
- Demonstrate passion for providing good customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of HACCP regulations
- Basic food hygiene certificate
