Role Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer will support and enhance our assembly based manufacturing operations. This position focuses on increasing efficiency, improving product quality, minimizing waste, and assisting with new product introductions in a fast paced production environment. We are looking for a proactive, detail oriented individual to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Analyse current assembly processes to identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and product quality.
- Work closely with multi disciplinary assembly teams to resolve assembly issues and eliminate barriers to production flow.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving methodologies, including carrying out root cause analysis for defects and assembly related issues.
- Collaborate with assembly teams to design, specify, and implement jigs, fixtures, and tooling that support safe and efficient assembly operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and fixture issues to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
