Our students range from 4 to 18 years and therefore you will be placed in a classroom to suit your experience / qualifications.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain the efficient running of the class and assist with classroom administration or preparation of materials / display boards.
- Assume responsibility for supervising groups of children, or individual children on specified activities or with special educational needs.
- Provide continuity of care, e.g. supervising play, break / lunch times and cloakrooms, including hand washing and toileting.
- Provide regular feedback about the pupils to management.
- Participate in classroom activities, including involvement with the curriculum, where appropriate, under direction of school management.
- Set up, clear away and regularly clean equipment.
- Work at inspiring student achievement; working with supervisors on student's academic needs.
- Train students to set goals and be determined to reach objectives.
- Encourage consistent academic work and diligent work habits.
- Prepare for and facilitate assembly on a rota basis.
- Underpinning everything, to pray for all aspects of the school, staff and pupils and attend the school prayer meeting.
These responsibilities are not exhaustive and you will be provided with a Staff Handbook for information on policies, procedures and code of conduct.
