We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to be based primarily at the Brig o' Doon House Hotel, with occasional support at the Fairfield House Hotel and other RAD Hotel Group properties across Ayrshire. This role will involve working 5 days a week, including weekends, to help maintain our properties and grounds to the highest standards.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Perform general maintenance tasks (electrical, plumbing, carpentry) across the hotel.
  • Maintain the hotel grounds, including gardening, weeding, trimming, and power washing to ensure a tidy, well-kept exterior.
  • Assist with basic property upkeep and repairs to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
  • Assist with laundry, waste management, and transporting guest luggage to support the smooth running of hotel operations.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, both planned and reactive, to ensure all facilities are in working order.
  • Ensure hotel areas, including maintenance spaces, are kept clean, organized, and safe.
  • Occasionally travel to other RAD Hotel Group locations and properties in South Ayrshire to provide maintenance and garden support as needed.

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience in a maintenance role, with the ability to carry out general repairs efficiently.
  • Basic plumbing and joinery skills are highly beneficial, though not essential.
  • Flexibility to work weekends.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic, with a genuine passion for maintaining excellent environments.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with colleagues and guests alike.
  • A valid driving licence is essential.
