Due to continued growth, we are looking for an organised and proactive Warehouse Stock Controller to join our team in Aston Clinton. The Role

As Warehouse Stock Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining stock integrity across all incoming and outgoing inventory, including event equipment. Working closely with warehouse management, you will drive stock accuracy, conduct audits, optimise warehouse space utilisation, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be an organised team player with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering a right-first-time culture that ensures maximum customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain stock integrity with the objective of achieving and sustaining 100% stock accuracy.
  • Perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA), reporting findings and improvement recommendations to management.
  • Conduct process audits to identify inventory discrepancies or quality issues caused by process deviations.
  • Review stock movement patterns and optimise product placement and storage locations to improve picking efficiency and warehouse utilisation.
  • Develop storage consolidation plans to maximise available warehouse capacity.
  • Create and maintain replenishment plans aligned with sales demand, reducing stock shortages and ensuring replenishment schedules are adhered to.
  • Identify and report abnormalities relating to goods, issuing reservations or refusals where appropriate.
  • Operate across multiple Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), utilising standard and bespoke reports to maintain stock integrity.
  • Support the processing and analysis of returned stock, identifying trends and potential quality issues.
  • Liaise with Finance and Client Support teams to manage aged, obsolete, or expired stock effectively.
  • Deliver training and guidance to colleagues on best practices in stock management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Good standard of education, including a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent).
  • Strong data accuracy and attention to detail.
  • IT literate with confidence using business systems.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrable commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ability to represent company values and contribute positively to company goals and vision.

Desirable Requirements

  • HND or Degree qualification, preferably in Logistics, Business, STEM, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Previous inventory control or stock control experience.
  • SAP experience.
  • Advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge or super-user experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and SQL querying.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • MHE (Material Handling Equipment) certification.
  • Fire Marshal qualification.
  • First Aid qualification.
