The Opportunity
- An Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for assisting the team, with the ability to assume the store management responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence.
- The Assistant Store Manager is also responsible for achieving sales objectives, maintaining and achieving high operational and merchandising standards and goals, building highly motivated teams, and developing Fragrance Consultants to the next level.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with Head Office stakeholders and internal teams.
- Effectively prioritise daily tasks to support the smooth running of the business.
- Demonstrate flexibility and an agile approach to work, adapting focus to meet business needs.
- Support the management of stock levels and assist with accurate inventory checks.
- Work closely with the ARM, RRM and Store Teams to help ensure appropriate stock levels, particularly for key selling lines and promotional products.
- Support the communication of company strategy and goals to the team.
- Assist in setting and monitoring individual and team objectives on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Support the development of Ambassadors through regular coaching and leading by example.
- Assist with staff performance reviews during probation periods and ongoing reviews as required.
- Support recruitment activities, including assisting with inductions and monitoring performance of new starters.
- Ensure team members act professionally and comply with company policies and guidelines.
- Support the management of employee issues in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
Training and Service Standards
- Support the delivery of a luxury level of customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Lead by example through strong product knowledge, selling techniques and client engagement.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and discreetly, escalating where appropriate.
- Support the implementation of the eventing calendar in collaboration with the Retail Manager UK.
