Evening Manager leading the evening service only. £45,000 to £55,000 per year package (45K basic + potential bonus KPI).

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're an independent, upmarket restaurant and cocktail bar located in the heart of Edinburgh. We are looking for an accomplished Assistant Restaurant Manager or an experienced Restaurant General Manager who wants to develop their career in a larger, upscale setting. The role sits in a team of two AGM’s reporting directly to the GM in a unique structure.

EVENING SERVICE

The successful candidate will lead the evening service and guest experience as if the restaurant operated separately from the more casual day offer. The role is an evening-shift-only position, starting at 3 pm and ending around 11 pm with kitchen closing at 9 pm. Although the primary shifts are PM shifts (5 days on, 2 days off), flexibility is required to support the team on a day shift when needed, participate in projects, and influence the restaurant’s success.

You are very particular about your next career move in a leading restaurant and bar brand. Accomplished in managing restaurants and bars and leading teams in well-known high street brands. Can discuss previous accomplishments and career development. Exceptional communicator, natural coach and mentor, obsessed with delivering a great guest experience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Several years experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant General Manager in a busy environment.
  • Exceptional leadership focused on people and quality.
  • Mentoring approach – coaching and developing team members.
  • Impeccable attention to detail in day-to-day service standards, business administration, reporting and stakeholder relationships.
  • Commitment to people health, happiness and love for the business.
  • Strong hands-on experience in bar and floor management, stock management, restaurant and bar opening and closing.
  • Understanding of P&L and ability to lead in the GM’s absence.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present business insights weekly.
