This position is for a Veterinary Surgeon working across multiple sites in Kent and East Sussex, with a salary up to £65,000 depending on experience.
Work Hours
- Typical arrangement: 40 hours per week over four days (08:30-18:30) with a 1 in 5 Saturday rota (08:30-16:30).
- Mondays and Tuesdays are fixed working days.
- No out of hours commitments. Some flexibility is available.
Responsibilities
- Manage and perform consultations and routine surgical procedures.
- Work an even split between consultations and surgery with a varied caseload across all sites.
- Occasionally take sole charge responsibilities, supported by an experienced team.
- Option to spend one day per week at the hospital, where overnight care is handled.
- Build confidence, take ownership of cases and further develop clinical skills under supportive supervision.
Qualifications
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with several years of UK experience.
- Confident in both consultations and routine surgical procedures.
- Comfortable with occasional sole charge duties.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient and client care.
- Interest in leadership or career progression is advantageous.
- Desire to pursue further qualifications such as a medical certificate is welcomed but not essential.
